The idea behind TechBack is simple, to join 9th grade students in the periphery, that need to choose class for next year and hi-tech entrepreneurs that have been through the amazing process of identifying a need and creating a technological product out of the goal of creating a change in society. The entrepreneurs will tell about the process they have been through, the success and difficulties on the way and will seed in the periphery children the seed of motivation and the believe that they can do it as well! the aim of the program is to encourage teenagers to choose classes in the fields of science or technology in the next school year.
High-tech entrepreneur? you have a chance to make a difference
A meeting with a High-tech entrepreneur will expose first hand and from the bottom of the heart the personal story and the deep will that drives the entrepreneur in taking the responsibility and starting a start up, the challenges, hardships, ups and downs. The goal of the meeting is to create identification and to strengthen the self confidence for the boy and girl sitting in front of him. An inspirational lecture will light the idea in their head that they can also start a start up and affect their surrounding, if they only want to.
In spite of the many resources that are being invested, many teen ages from the social or geographic periphery are distinct with no fault of their own in their social-economic situation and the education options offered to them. Their ability to receive correct guidance in some topics is more limited, their families cannot always afford privet tutors, enrichment lessons, courses and higher education. Sometimes even when the students do receive these benefits, not always professionals with the best experience can pass the information.
